Entrepreneur: Friend or Faux?
That’s the title of a short article in the current edition of Inc. magazine - it starts off with a simple observation:
These days, it seems everyone’s an entrepreneur.
I love their definition of an entrepreneur:
By our definition, it’s a hands-on operator who relies on creativity and hard work to build a self-sustaining enterprise that employs people and earns a profit.
I couldn’t agree more - it seems to be so chick to label yourself ‘entrepreneur’ these days. The really serious ones often tack a cute little ’serial’ in front of it… Lovely. And so important.
So please - before you call yourself an entrepreneur do the world a favor and consider this definition.
